Day 4 Innsbruck
No visit is complete to the Tyrol without spending the day in Innsbruck
and surroundings. From your hotel a short walk to the train which will
take you straight down into the city. Make your way to the old town
and walk around the quaint cobbled streets, admire the paintings
on the buildings and see the famous golden roof built by Emperor
MaxMillian. Walk down to the River Inn which flows through the city
and wonder at its green waters, maybe rent a cycle and bike a few
miles down the River Inn cycle way. Other options today if your
holiday is in the summer months is maybe a run down the Olympic
bob sleigh or a trip to the grass ski jump. The ski jump was used for
the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympic Games, and then reconstructed
and opened in 2002. Of course you can still follow one of the many
walks in the area
