Welcome to Hooked on Walking Holidays and our walking holiday in Majorca. Our hiking vacation on Majorca ( Mallorca ) is a fabulous hiking tour on the west side of Majorca. This hiking holiday tour on Majorca will show that the Island has many surprises inland , you will discover the inner life of Majorca on deserted paths and tracks. The inland mountain range the Sierra de Tramuntana is where you hike will take place , you will hike through olive groves , charming villages with manor houses and palaces. You will always enjoy the view of the sea , small islands and fantastic natural landscape. Majorca offers a great chance to walk early and late season and still enjoy sunshine. Our Hiking vacation is available March to June and September to October and is available as a self guided tour departing on certain dates. In Majorca the sun shines almost every single day. Our Majorca Trek also has to offer a combination of mountains, coastal and nature hikes for ultimate pleasure

Day 1  Arrival at Majorca El Arenal
Arrival on to Majorca ( Mallorca ) and transfer by private transfer or by bus to your first hotel.

Day 2  Coastal hike on the peninsula Alcúdia
A welcome meeting this morning before you start your first hiking tour. One of the most beautiful treks leads you between the bay of Pollenca and Alcúdia. We walk along the coast and climb a scenic cliff top. Panoramic views will be the highlight of todays hike.

Day 3  Pilgrim path from Pollenca to the monastery Lluc
Today a transfer to Pollenca where we follow the historical pilgrim path to Lluc. The high peaks of the Sierra de Tramuntana accompany our walk over the pass, passing the Puig Tomir. Shady groves of evergreen oaks, blossoming orchards and rough meadows are the highlight of our walk  today. A special highlight waits for us at the monastery Lluc and the botanical garden.

Day 4  Pilgrim path Cuber reservoir to Lluc
In the morning transfer to the Cuber reservoir, where we hike a further part of the pilgrim path to Lluc. Today we walk up high into the Sierra and cross the passes to Lluc. An unusual landscape with high grass, rocks and passes as in high mountain regions. Sunny views to the steep coast and lush valleys certainly make this day the highlight of your vacation.

Day 5 Pilgrim path Cuber reservoir to Soller
Today we again start at the Cuber reservoir and walk along the beach to the pass L’offres. We follow the serpentines up to Es Cornador where we enjoy the best view to the famous terrace-walk down to Soller. Of course we also take this walk down to the idyllic gorge and the gardens of Soller. We take the old tramway along the coast to Puerto Soller.

Day 6 Postal route from Deia to Soller
A shuttle bus brings us to the artist colony Deia, the jewel on the west coast. In the bay of Deia today’s walking tour leads along the coast up to the idyllic postal route to Soller. A visit of an old olive-oil press, fresh orange juice and a walk through olive groves round off this day

Day 7  Idyllic railway trip to Palma, city tour and beach walking on the Playa de Palma
We take the famous train from Soller to Palma. Enjoy this journey up to the hillsides of the Tramuntana and through the fertile plains of Palma. After days of mountain solitude the liveliness on the Playa de Palma greets us.

Day 8: Individual departure

Difficulty : Level 2-3 High level tours between 1.500 and 2.500 m on mountain paths and rocky, sometimes exposed paths are waiting for you. A sure footing, a good head for heights and certain endurance are required. Daily distances of up to 7 hours and managing of higher height differences are included. For self-guided hiking a fair mountain experience is required.
